Obituary:

Natela Kogoshvili, astronomer and longtime resident of Tbilisi, Georgia, passed away on May 18 2021.

Natela was born on Jul 22 1938 in St. Petersburg, Russia (former Leningrad, USSR). She studied astronomy at Tbilisi State University in 1960s. Natela is an author of MRCRBG (machine-readable catalogue of relatively bright galaxies). She started working on it at the Georgian National Astrophysical Observatory by adapting the data with a computer compiler and later continued to update it with newer data. Her research focused mainly on Galaxies and Dark Matter and she has over 50 publications in national and international journals.

Natela was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, her daughter, and her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, coworkers and all who knew her.
