Rules, Guidelines and Instructions for Proceedings
There are important rules that IAU Authors and Editors should follow when finalizing their articles and proceedings for publication. These ensure that IAU has the necessary consent to publish and owns the copyright, where appropriate, and that articles and proceedings maintain internal consistency and can adhere to widely accepted rules. Observing these rules will greatly facilitate interaction between IAU proceedings' editors and its publishers, Cambridge University Press. Please read the Rules and Guidelines for the IAU Scientific Meetings and check carefully the appropriate entries given below. Detailed instructions are given below:
- Instructions for Authors and Editors of Proceedings for IAU Symposia
- Instructions for Authors of IAU GA Invited Discourses
- Instructions for Authors and Editors for IAU GA Joint Discussions and Special Sessions
- Consent to Publish & Transfer of Copyright Form:
- Abbreviations in references to Serial Publications
- International System (SI) of units
- "IAU Style Manual" by G.A. Wilkins, Comm. 5, from IAU Transactions XXB (1989) chapter 8 (PDF - 4.7MB)
Please note that as of 2012, the Editorial Board for IAU publications has been terminated.
