This WG compiles and reviews list of “Astrophycially Important Spectral Lines” which is then used to update the Recommendations ITU-R RA.341 (Preferred frequency bands for radio astronomical measurements) and RA.1860 (Preferred frequency bands for radio astronomical measurements in the range 1-3 THz), which are developed and maintained by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to be used in protecting radio astronomical observations against man-made interference. These two ITU-R recommendations may be used in future to expand protected radio astronomy bands
