Following proposal evaluation and recommendations of the IAU Division Presidents and Vice Presidents, the IAU Executive Committee has discussed and approved the following 2026 Symposia:
- IAUS 404: Advancing the Search for Technosignatures, to be held online on 2-6 March 2026;
- IAUS 405: Traversing the Galactic Center in Space and Time, to be held in Brno, Czech Republic, on 18-22 May 2026;
- IAUS 406: Future landscape of astrophysical transients: novel approaches in theory and observations, to be held in Turku, Finland, on 25-29 May 2026 (dates TBC);
- IAUS 407: Origins 2026, to be held in Paris, France, on 6-11 July 2026;
- IAUS 408: Unraveling the joint lives of Stars and Exoplanets, to be held in Liege, Belgium, on 17-21 August 2026;
- IAUS 409: Innovative Research and Techniques in Astronomy Outreach, to be held in Tokyo, Japan, on 2-6 November 2026;
- IAUS 410: New look at Solar and Stellar Coronae, to be held in Shenzhan, China, on 22-27 November 2026;
- IAUS 411: Star Clusters as Guides to Galaxies: Synergies and New Developments from Upcoming Surveys, to be held in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, on 22-27 November 2026;
- IAUS 412: Hub Filament Structures in Star Formation, to be held in Mysuru, India, on 23-27 November 2026.
