It is my sad duty to inform you of the death of Dr. Bruce Slee, CSIRO, Epping, Australia aged 92 years. Bruce Slee was an early pioneer in radio astronomy. Through his early work the interpretation of the nature radio sources was made (with John Bolton and Gordon Stanley). He is also remembered through his work with the Parkes radio telescope and the Calgoora Radioheliograph. In recent years he conducted observations with the Australia Telescope Compact Array. Bruce Slee made an enormous impact on the development of radio astronomy.
