The IAU-Office of Astronomy for Development (OAD) has released its first Yearbook, an annual publication that reflects on the activities and accomplishments of the OAD and the global community during the year.

Being the first edition, the 2016 Yearbook covers the period since the OAD’s inception. It describes the principles and goals of the OAD and the use of astronomy as a tool for development. In addition it contains information about the annual call for proposals through which the OAD invites applications to fund projects that aim to use astronomy as a tool to further sustainable development.

The Yearbook also looks back at all the projects funded across the world and highlights of the year’s activities. These activities are supported by a diverse global community, including the nine regional offices, partners, collaborators, and volunteers across the world.

An electronic version of the yearbook can be downloaded from the OAD website. Print ready files and editable design files are also available on request for printing or translation.
