The most extensive observing campaign ever...
The Advanced Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO) and the Advanced Virgo Detector joined forces to detect gravitational wave signals from the coalescence of two black holes. This was the most extensive observing campaign ever, and was remembered and mentioned in this presentation at the IAU General Assembly in Vienna, Austria. Photo taken on 24 August 2018.
