Star presentation

A speaker gives a presentation at the Pale Blue Dot Symposium, held at the Old Observatory in Leiden, the Netherlands, in February 2020. The event celebrated the 30th anniversary of the famous "pale blue dot" photo, with speakers discussing the historical and cultural implications of the iconic image, as well as describing current research on planets around other stars and what this teaches us about life in the Universe. The symposium was also a pilot for the OAD's flagship Pale Blue Dot project, designed to use astronomy to further the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, including peace, quality education and climate action.
