Background

Research into planetary nebulae is diverse. The topics range from the physics of compact objects to the tenuous interstellar medium, and includes, amongst others, stellar evolution, hydrodynamcs, radiative transfer, hydrodynamics, abundance studies, astrochemistry, and stellar population studies, with size scales that ranges from 107 to 1017meters. It can be a daunting area for beginning graduate students. This site aims to provide some primers, short articles which introduce a topic at a level suitable for beginning students, including pointers at relevant papers. We hope it is useful.
