Inter-Commission C1-C3-C4 WG Ethnoastronomy and Intangible Astronomical Heritage

To explore and develop ways to recognise, protect and preserve various aspects of cultural knowledge as intangible heritage -- something that could be achieved all the better by two-way education — the "building bridges between cultures" approach that was highlighted at IAU S278 in Lima in 2011. This falls outside the remit of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention but might well relate to its Intangible Heritage Convention — hence the WG membership would include representation from ICOMOS (Michel Cotte).
